The Montreal Children's Hospital Foundation: an ongoing commitment!

The remarkable work of the Foundation of the Montreal Children's Hospital is supported by ESI Information Technologies. Greg Rokos, president of ESI, after a four-year term as Chairman, remains a member of the Board of Directors of the Foundation and as such, is personally involved in its initiatives. ESI believes in the importance of the work of the Foundation and contributes financially to its various fundraising activities.

The Montreal Children’s Hospital has found a new ambassador!

Wednesday September 16th 2015 was a great day for the Foundation of the Montreal Children’s Hospital and especially for the community it serves. The renowned Montreal Canadiens defenceman P.K. Subban has announced a donation of $10 millions to the hospital and will be joining its Board of Directors. For Greg Rokos, President of the Board for the last four years, this great news is a culmination of an exceptional year for the Children’s and its Foundation.

A new day is dawning for the Montreal Children's Hospital!

The staff, professionals and patients of the Montreal Children's Hospital have moved at their new address on the Glen site of the McGill University Health Centre. Saturday, June 20, 2015, the Montreal community was invited to a walk between the old and the new site to symbolically mark the move and the inauguration of the new hospital.

At ESI, wearing jeans pays off!

ESI employees have found an original way to support the causes important to them by paying 2$ on Fridays to wear blue jeans.

Since January 2016, our fundraising initiative is dedicated to La Dauphinelle, which offers a safe haven and psychosocial support to women victims of domestic violence and in distress. La Dauphinelle annually hosts about one hundred women and as many children.

The third charity to benefit from this initiative is Autismopolis. Their mission is to facilitate the social integration of autistic people.

The second charity to benefit from this initiative is Make-a-Wish. Their mission is to grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions.

The first charity to benefit from this initiative is Willow, that offers support to people affected by hereditary breast cancer. We are very proud to have supported this association!

Josée Galarneau appointed to the Board of the Philippe-Pinel Institute

Most of us are already aware of the longstanding commitment of Josée Galarneau with the Pinel Institute, specializing in mental health. Josée was recently reappointed as independent member of the board of directors of the Institute for a three-year term, complying to the comprehensive set of new criteria established by the Québec Health Ministry. She will be able to continue her involvement to a cause dear to her and to which she has provided support for 8 years now! Congratulations Josée on your appointment!

Collecting warm clothes for the most vulnerable

This year, ESI employees decided to support the recipients of the Accueil Bonneau Foundation. Friday, December 4th, a group of ESI employees had the pleasure of delivering warm clothes to suport the mission of Accueil Bonneau, that is to support the homeless.

St-Baldrick's Foundation : shaving to cure childhood cancers

For the 5th year in a
row, ESI was proud to participate in this fundraising event. Nicholas Laine, ESI's Director - Enterprise Architecture, shaved his head on April 30, 2015 on behalf of the St-Baldrick's Foundation, a volunteer-driven charity committed to funding the most promising research to find cures for childhood cancers and give survivors long, healthy lives.

Charity Challenge - Pinel Foundation

For a 4th consecutive year, on April 26, 2015, Josée Galarneau, Sales Director for ESI Montreal, participated to the Scotia Bank Challenge for the benefit of Pinel Foundation. Congratulations to Josée who exceeded her target and raised over 3,700$!

2014 Christmas Basket Campaign: united to offer better holidays to the needy

Many thanks to the employees who participated in ESI’s efforts to collect food items for the “Grande Guignolée des médias”. We proudly brought to the organizers five full bags of non-perishable food items! Next year, we expect an increased contribution.

The Montreal Children's Hospital Foundation Golf Tournament

The 18th edition of the annual tournament of the Foundation was held on September 8, 2014 and collected nearly 700,000$ in donations for medical research for the Montreal Children's Hospital. As Chairman of the Board of Directors, Greg Rokos, president of ESI, is especially proud of the success of the event.

Symantec Charity Golf Classic

ESI was proud to sponsor and participate in the Symantec event. The tournament held on May 26, 2014 raised 15,000$ to benefit the Merry Go Round Children's Foundation which goal is to provide underprivileged children in the greater Toronto area a personal computer and Internet connection to enable them to achieve their academic and personal potential.
